RingRobin call tracking

The RingRobin integration connects your WordPress site to your RingRobin call tracking account. Once the site is linked to a RingRobin campaign, the plugin adds the tracking script to every page for you. You can also manage form widgets, click-to-text widgets and tracking phone numbers, and place widgets on pages with the editor blocks.

  • You need a RingRobin account and a RingRobin API key. Generate one in RingRobin under Settings > API Keys. Keys start with rr_live_.
  • To buy phone numbers, Twilio must be connected in your RingRobin account.
  • The integration uses no Xags. Phone numbers carry a RingRobin monthly price, shown before you buy.
  1. In WordPress, go to Xagio > Xagio Settings.
  2. Open the Integrations tab.
  3. Under Connect to RingRobin, paste your key into API Key.
  4. Select Connect. You see “Connected. Reloading…” and the page reloads showing Connected as and your RingRobin name.
  1. Under This Site, check the Site Domain, then select Link to RingRobin.
  2. In Link this site to RingRobin, choose Select existing campaign or Create new campaign (enter a name).
  3. Select Link Site. The site domain is registered on that campaign.

After linking, the plugin checks that the tracking script is live. It retries for about 30 seconds. Status shows Verified ✓ when it finds the script. To check again later, select Verify Installation.

Once the site is linked, Widgets & Numbers shows the campaign’s Form Widgets, Text Widgets and Phone Numbers for this site.

  • Create Form widget / Create Text widget: enter a name (or leave it blank for the default) to create a widget in RingRobin.
  • Edit: opens the widget in RingRobin.
  • Remove: removes the widget from this plugin’s list. The widget stays in RingRobin, and pages that already embed it keep working.
  • Search & buy a number: search by area code or location, then Buy. The plugin confirms the price (“Buy [number] for [price] [currency] / month?”) before it buys.

Gutenberg: add the RingRobin Form or RingRobin Text Widget block (in the Xagio block category). Pick the widget in the block sidebar. For a text widget, also pick the Display mode: Floating (bottom of page), Inline button or Embedded phone.

Elementor: drag the RingRobin Form or RingRobin Text Widget widget onto the page and pick the widget and display mode in its settings.

The block shows a placeholder in the editor. The widget itself renders on the live page.

  • Unlink (under This Site): stops the plugin from adding the tracking script. The campaign and domain stay in RingRobin.
  • Disconnect (next to Connected as): removes the API key from this site. Your campaign, widgets and phone numbers stay in RingRobin, and widgets already on pages keep working. The plugin stops managing them until you reconnect.

Uninstalling the Xagio plugin also removes the RingRobin integration settings.

  • “Please enter your API key.” or “That does not look like a valid RingRobin API key.” Paste the full key from RingRobin Settings > API Keys.
  • “The domain [domain] is already registered on a different RingRobin campaign. Unlink it there first, or link this site to the campaign it already belongs to.” Pick the campaign the domain already belongs to, or remove the domain from the other campaign in RingRobin.
  • “Not detected after 30 seconds. If your site uses caching, please clear it and click Verify Installation.” Clear your caching plugin, host cache or CDN cache, then select Verify Installation.
  • Manual RingRobin script detected. A RingRobin script is already in your Xagio Scripts settings, so automatic tracking is paused to prevent duplicate script tags. Remove the manual <script> tag in Xagio > SEO Settings > Scripts to turn automatic tracking back on.
  • “To buy a phone number for this campaign, connect Twilio in your RingRobin account.” Select Connect Twilio in RingRobin and finish the Twilio setup there.
  • “That number was just taken. Please pick another.” Search again and pick another number.
  • “Could not reach RingRobin: …” The site could not contact RingRobin. Try again in a few minutes.
  • “This endpoint is not yet available. Coming soon.” when creating a widget: the request failed (RingRobin was unreachable, or the site is not linked to a campaign). Check that the site is linked under This Site, then try again.
