Rank tracking graphs

Rank Tracker keeps the history of every check, so you can see how a keyword’s position moved over time. You can chart several keywords together, open a keyword’s recent trend, or look at its search volume history.

Once you track at least one site, the top of Rank Tracker shows four tiles:

  • Tracked domains: how many sites you track.
  • Tracked keywords: how many keywords you track, and when they were last updated.
  • Top 10 rankings: keywords on page 1, and the change versus a month ago.
  • Average position: your average position, and how many positions it moved versus a month ago.

Below the tiles, the Overview panel shows:

  • Ranking skyline: each tower is one of your biggest sites, stacked by where its keywords rank. The green cap is page 1. Point at a color to compare that band across sites, and click a tower to see its details. Use Keywords to size towers by keyword count, or Share % to make them all the same height and compare proportions.
  • Where your keywords rank: all your keywords split by position band.
  • Last 7 days: the keywords that moved most. Switch between Climbing and Falling.

Select Hide to fold the panel into one line. Select it again to show it.

  1. In Rank Tracker, tick up to 15 keywords for a site.
  2. Select the chart button next to the site.
  3. The Rank History Graph opens with one line per keyword.

In the graph:

  • Use the list in the corner to zoom to the Top 10, Top 25, Top 50 or Top 100 positions.
  • Use the range buttons to view 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year.

The Month column shows a small graph of the keyword’s recent positions. Select it to open the full graph.

The Vol column shows the keyword’s monthly search volume. Select the trend icon next to it to open the Search Volume History chart for the last 12 months.

Viewing graphs is free.

  • “Only 15 Terms can be viewed at once.” Untick some keywords so 15 or fewer are selected.
  • A keyword has no line or an empty graph: it has not been checked yet, or it was not found within the depth on its checks.
