Niche Hunter: find a niche in the Xagio panel

Niche Hunter finds keywords worth building a site on. You give it a seed keyword and a market, and it returns up to 1,000 related keywords with search volume, CPC and competition. You then send the best ones to Project Planner.

Before you start

Section titled “Before you start”
  • Open Niche Hunter from the panel sidebar: RESEARCH > Niche hunter.
  • If you do not see it, the account owner may have turned it off for your sub-user.
  • Each hunt costs Xags. See What it costs.

Run a hunt

Section titled “Run a hunt”
  1. Under Advanced filters, fill in Enter Keyword with your seed keyword.
  2. Choose Match To:
    • Contains: the seed can appear anywhere in the keyword.
    • Is First: keywords that start with the seed.
    • Is Last: keywords that end with the seed.
  3. In Select Language, choose the country and language of the market (for example United States (English)).
  4. Optional: enter words in Exclude Keywords to drop keywords that contain them.
  5. Optional: set ranges for Enter Volume, Cost Per Click and Competition (0 to 1).
  6. Select Search.
  7. Confirm the cost in Are you sure?

The results table fills in with Keyword, Volume, CPC, Competition, InTitle, InURL, TR and UR. InTitle and InURL stay empty until you get competition data. See Get competition data in Niche Hunter.

Research a keyword

Section titled “Research a keyword”

Each result row has Research It buttons:

  • Check domain availability: see Check domain availability.
  • View Google trends: a 12-month Google Trends chart in Competition and Trends.
  • Search keyword in Google: opens Google searches in new tabs. Choose which ones in Niche Hunter settings.
  • Get competition: inTitle and inURL for that one keyword.
  • View history: a 12-month chart in Search Volume History.

Reopen a past hunt

Section titled “Reopen a past hunt”

Every hunt is saved under History (Searches you ran before), with its keyword, the number of results and the date.

  1. Select a hunt in History to load its results again. Reopening is free.
  2. Use Search history… to find an old hunt.
  3. To see results from all hunts together, select Clear Selection.

To delete a hunt and its keywords, select its trash icon and confirm.

What it costs

Section titled “What it costs”

A hunt costs 1.5 Xags. You are not charged if no data comes back. See the Xag price list.

Troubleshooting

Section titled “Troubleshooting”
  • “There is not data pulled for these filters. You were not charged for this action.”: widen your filters or try another seed keyword.
  • “Error connecting to API, please try again. You were not charged for this action.”: try again in a few minutes.
  • “You do not have enough XAGS to use this action.”: buy more Xags.
  • “Your account is suspended. Please contact support.”: contact support.
  • “No results found. Try a different keyword.”: your history search found nothing.
