White-label shared reports and use your own domain

White-labeling makes your shared ranking reports and shared Project Planner projects show your business instead of Xagio. You can add your company details and logo, show a call-to-action bar, and serve the reports from your own domain or subdomain.

Open the Whitelabel page

In the sidebar, under REPORTING, select Whitelabel.

If your plan does not include white-label domains, the page shows This feature is not enabled for your account. with a link to upgrade.

Add your company details

Section titled “Add your company details”
  1. In Company Information, fill in First Name, Last Name, E-Mail, Phone Number and Address.
  2. Under Logo, select Upload Company Logo and pick an image.
  3. Select Save Changes.

These details show on your shared ranking reports and shared projects. Any field you leave empty uses the details from your account.

Add a call-to-action bar

The CTA bar is a banner with a button that sends visitors to a page you choose. It shows on shared Project Planner projects. Enable CTA is on by default on every plan, and until you set your own text and link the bar shows Xagio’s banner. To hide the bar, turn off Enable CTA and select Save Changes. The page text says Agency removes the Xagio banner, but the switch works the same on every plan.

  1. In CTA Bar Settings, enter the Banner Text and Button Text.
  2. In URL, enter the page the button opens.
  3. If you use an affiliate link, enter your Affiliate ID.
  4. Under Image, select Choose Image to add an image to the bar.
  5. Turn on Enable CTA.
  6. Select Save Changes.

Images must be GIF, JPG or PNG.

Use your own domain

Section titled “Use your own domain”
  1. At your DNS provider, add an A record for the domain or subdomain (for example reports.yourdomain.com) pointing to the server IP address shown in the Add New Custom Domain window.
  2. Wait for the DNS change to take effect.
  3. On the Whitelabel page, select Add domain.
  4. Enter the domain and select Save Changes.
  5. In White Label Domains, select the shield button (Install SSL) next to the domain.

Each domain shows two checks: DNS turns green when the domain points to Xagio, and SSL turns green once the certificate is installed.

When you share a ranking report or a project, pick your domain in Available Domains to use it in the link.

Remove a domain

Select the red trash button (Remove) next to the domain and confirm. Links that use that domain stop working.

White-labeling is free on plans that include it.

Troubleshooting

Section titled “Troubleshooting”
  • “You have reached the limit of whitelabel domains. Please upgrade your account.” Your plan’s domain limit is used. Remove a domain or upgrade.
  • “Domain DNS records are not yet pointing to our server.” The A record is missing or has not taken effect yet. Check it and try again later.
  • “Domain validation failed. Please verify that you’ve used a valid domain name.” Enter only the domain, without http:// or a path.
  • “This domain is not available.” That domain can’t be used. Pick another one.
  • “Specified domain is already added in the system.” The domain is already on the list.
  • “Failed to install SSL, please contact support.” Check that DNS shows green, then try again. If it still fails, contact support.
