Share a project with a public link

Sharing creates a public, read-only page for one project. It shows the project’s groups, keywords and your conditional formatting. Use it to show a client or teammate the plan without giving them a login. Sharing is free.

Turn on sharing

Section titled “Turn on sharing”
  1. In Project Planner, open the folder that holds the project.
  2. In the project row, turn on the Share switch (Enable/Disable).
  3. In Are you sure?, select Share.
  4. The Shared Project Planner Link window opens with Your Sharable Link. Select the copy icon to copy it.

If you have white-label domains, choose one in Available Domains to show the link on your own domain instead of app.xagio.net. See White-label shared reports and use your own domain.

In the same window you can control how the link looks when it is posted on social media or in chat apps:

  • Open Graph Title
  • Open Graph Image: upload an image.
  • Open Graph Description

Changes save as you type.

To open the window again later, select Shared link (the arrow icon) next to the switch.

Turn off sharing

Section titled “Turn off sharing”
  1. Turn off the Share switch.
  2. In Are you sure?, select Ok.

The link stops working right away. If you share the project again later, it gets a new link. The old link does not come back.
