Check domain availability

For any keyword in your Niche Hunter results, you can check whether a matching domain is available. Xagio turns the keyword into a domain name and checks it against each extension on your list. The check is free.

Check a domain

  1. In the results table, find the keyword.
  2. Under Research It, select Check domain availability (the globe icon).
  3. The Domain Availability Checker lists each domain with an Action:
    • Buy Now!: the domain is available. The button opens the domain at Namecheap, where you can register it.
    • Not Available: someone already owns it.

Xagio builds the name by making the keyword lowercase and removing spaces, accents and other characters. For example, “pool cleaning austin” becomes poolcleaningaustin.

Choose which extensions to check

By default, the checker looks up .com, .net and .org. To change the list, select Actions > Domain Availability TLDs. See Niche Hunter settings.

What it costs

Nothing. The domain checker does not use Xags.

Troubleshooting

Section titled “Troubleshooting”
  • “Service is not available at the moment, please try again later.”: the lookup service did not respond. Try again in a few minutes.
  • “Domain name cannot be empty”: the keyword could not be turned into a domain name (for example, it has no letters or numbers).
