Find opportunities
The Opportunities section in the left menu lists the wins that need the least work: keywords close to the top and pages that get seen but not clicked.
Striking Distance
Section titled “Striking Distance”Keywords on page one below the top three (Quick Wins (Position 4–10)) or at the top of page two (Near Page 1 (Position 11–20)), sorted by impressions.
What to do:
- Strengthen the ranking page: cover the topic more fully and use the keyword in the title and headings.
- Link to it from your strongest pages, with the keyword in the link text.
- Check again in two to four weeks with compare on.
High Imp / Low CTR
Section titled “High Imp / Low CTR”Pages with 100 or more impressions whose CTR is under half the typical CTR for their position. The report estimates the clicks you’re missing.
Rewrite the title and description to match what the searcher wants. Click a row to see the keywords behind the page.
Rising Queries
Section titled “Rising Queries”Searches gaining impressions fast. A query is listed when it has at least 50 impressions now, or had none in the previous period (New).
Expand the page that ranks for a rising query, or write a page dedicated to it.
Zero-Click
Section titled “Zero-Click”Pages that appeared in search but got no clicks in the period. Pages with 1,000 or more impressions are the biggest misses.
Give searchers a reason to click (detail, tools, prices, examples). If the page ranks low, see Striking Distance.
