Project slots per plan
Your plan sets how many active projects you can hold in Xagio Studio at one time. Each active project uses one project slot. Archived and deleted projects don’t use a slot.
Xagio Studio is available on every plan. The number of project slots depends on your plan:

Your plan’s project limit also shows on your Studio dashboard.
See how many slots you use
Section titled “See how many slots you use”Open the Studio dashboard. The Project slots card shows how many active projects you have and your plan’s limit.
What uses a slot
Section titled “What uses a slot”- Uses a slot: every active project, built or not.
- Doesn’t use a slot: archived projects, deleted projects (including the 60-day recovery window), and a project whose build failed.
- Doesn’t free a slot: publishing a site or downloading it. The project stays active until you archive or delete it.
When every slot is in use
Section titled “When every slot is in use”If you start a new project with no free slot, Studio shows Every project slot on your plan is in use and tells you how many active projects you have. You get two buttons:
- Manage my projects opens your projects list so you can archive or delete one.
- Upgrade my plan opens Plans & Billing in the Xagio panel.
Free a slot
Section titled “Free a slot”- Open All projects.
- On the Active tab, click Archive or Delete project on a project you are done with.
Archiving is the safer choice. It keeps everything, a published site stays live, and you can unarchive the project later when a slot is free. Studio also offers Archive at two moments: after a site goes live, and after you download a site.
Unarchiving or restoring a project uses a slot again.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- “You have N of N active projects on your plan. Archive or delete a project to free a slot, or upgrade your plan to hold more.” You tried to unarchive or restore with every slot in use. Free a slot first.
