Work with your plan: approve, exclude, move keywords, set the home page
The plan is the list of pages Studio will build, each with its own group of keywords. Open a project to see it on the Plan tab. With Let me review the plan, this is where you decide which pages get built before Studio spends Xags on competition data, SEO and content.
How the plan screen is laid out
Section titled “How the plan screen is laid out”- Planned pages: the pages that will be built. Each page is a card with its name, its SEO fields and its keywords.
- Excluded: pages you set aside. Their keywords stay intact.
- Unassigned tray (on the right): keywords you removed from a page. They stay here until you move or delete them.
- Competition metrics card: the number of keywords, the Xags cost and the time the competition check will take.
- Add New Group: creates a new page.
Use Collapse all and Expand all in the Planned pages bar to scan long plans.
Approve a review page
Section titled “Approve a review page”Review pages have a dark red header and a warning icon. They are not built unless you approve them.
- On the review page card, click the green check (Approve: make this a normal page).
The page becomes a normal planned page.
Exclude or restore a page
Section titled “Exclude or restore a page”- On the page card, click the Exclude from plan icon.
- To bring it back, open the Excluded tab and click Restore to plan.
Rename a page
Section titled “Rename a page”- Click the page name on the card.
- Type the new name and press Enter (Esc cancels).
Set the home page
Section titled “Set the home page”Every project has exactly one home page. If you don’t choose one, Studio picks the page closest to your main service.
- On the page card, click the Set as home page icon.
The card shows a Home badge. With Build it for me, Studio chooses the home page for you.
Move keywords between pages
Section titled “Move keywords between pages”- Click a keyword row to select it. Shift-click selects a range.
- Drag the selected keywords onto another page card.
To start a new page from keywords, drag them onto the Add New Group tile. Studio names the page after the top keyword; you can rename it.
To take a keyword off a page, click Remove from group. It moves to the Unassigned tray. To remove it for good, click Delete keyword permanently in the tray.
If you move the last keyword off a page that is already written, Studio asks first. Confirming removes the page, its content and every link to it.
Add keywords to a page
Section titled “Add keywords to a page”- At the bottom of the page card, click Add keyword.
- Type one or more keywords, separated by commas or new lines.
- Optionally tick Also fetch competition metrics.
- Check the count and the Xags cost, then click Add (the button shows the number of keywords).
Studio looks up volume and CPC for each keyword. Keywords already in the project are flagged and skipped at no charge.
Add a new page
Section titled “Add a new page”- Click Add New Group.
- Rename the page, then add keywords to it.
A page with no keywords holds up the build, because Studio has nothing to write it from. Add keywords or remove the page.
Edit the SEO fields
Section titled “Edit the SEO fields”Each card shows Page title (the H1), URL, Title and Description. After optimization, click a field to edit it, or pick from the other generated options. The home page URL is always /.
If you edit these after the page text is written, the card offers Rebuild content (rewrites the page text to match, priced first) or Keep as is (free).
Optimize the plan
Section titled “Optimize the plan”- Check the Competition metrics card for the cost and time.
- Click Optimize.
Studio checks competition for every keyword on your planned pages, then writes the SEO and content for each page. Each card shows its progress for Optimization, Content and Images. When a stage finishes, click it to view the result. Next, set up your logo (see Logos, brand colors, images and business photos), then build (see Build your website).
When keywords change after optimization
Section titled “When keywords change after optimization”If you move keywords after a page is optimized, the card shows Keywords changed with three choices, each priced first:
- Light refresh: updates the title, description and main heading. The page text stays as it is.
- Full redo: rewrites the page (SEO, content and images) and rebuilds it if it is built. Its web address stays the same.
- Keep as is: no charge.
If you add keywords to an optimized page, the card asks you to fetch their metrics, then offers Re-run optimization or Keep as is.
Export keywords
Section titled “Export keywords”- Click the More actions menu (…).
- Under Export keywords, choose Planned pages, Excluded pages or Both.
What it costs
Section titled “What it costs”Reviewing, moving, renaming, excluding and approving pages is free. Adding keywords costs 0.2491 Xags per keyword for volume and CPC, plus competition at your chosen speed if you tick Also fetch competition metrics. Optimize starts the paid stages. See What a Studio project costs.
