What happens to hosting when Xags run out
Hosted sites are billed each month from your Xags. As long as your balance can pay, your sites stay online, even if your plan has ended. If a site can’t be paid, it is suspended until you top up.
While your Xags can pay
Section titled “While your Xags can pay”- Each site is charged once a month on the day it was created. See Hosting prices and monthly billing.
- Hosting does not switch off when your plan ends or is cancelled. It keeps billing from whatever Xags your account can still spend.
- If your account is suspended or refunded, only xBanks can pay for hosting. See How Xags work.
When a site can’t be paid
Section titled “When a site can’t be paid”- The site is suspended for non-payment and goes offline.
- As soon as your balance covers it, the site is charged, even before its normal billing day.
- Once every unpaid site on your account is paid for the month, they all come back online on their own.
- A new plan payment adds Xags, so the next billing run can charge the unpaid sites and bring them back.
Bring your sites back
Section titled “Bring your sites back”- Add Xags: buy xBanks, or restart a plan.
- Wait for the next billing run. The unpaid sites are charged and come back online.
If sites stay down
Section titled “If sites stay down”Suspended sites are not deleted automatically. Their files stay on the server while they are down. Xagio can remove hosting that stays unpaid for a long time, so if you might need a site, download a copy from Download your sites while it is suspended.
