Use the keyword cloud

The keyword cloud splits keywords into single words and sizes each word by how often it appears. Use it to spot the main topics in a group, or across a whole project, before you write titles or split groups. It is free.

Open a group’s word cloud

Section titled “Open a group’s word cloud”
  1. Open a project.
  2. In a group, select Open Word Cloud (the cloud icon).
  3. Select a word to highlight it in the group’s H1, URL, SEO title, description and keywords. Select it again to clear the highlight.

Select Close Word Cloud to hide it.

Open the global word cloud

  1. In the project top bar, select Open Global Word Cloud (the cloud icon next to Save Project).
  2. The cloud shows words from every keyword in the project.

Seed groups from the global cloud

Section titled “Seed groups from the global cloud”
  1. Open the global word cloud. The panel beside it says Select keywords to start seeding.
  2. Select one or more words. Each word appears under Seed groups for the following keywords, with a group name and a seed keyword you can edit.
  3. Select Seed New Group.

Xagio creates one group per word and moves every keyword that contains that word into it. Groups left empty by the move stay in the project. To clear them, use Groups > Delete Empty Groups.

Troubleshooting

  • “No keywords for this group”: the cloud needs at least one keyword. Add keywords first.
