Create pages and posts from keyword groups

Once a group has its page details written, Project Planner can create the WordPress page or post for it. The new item is linked to the group, so later edits in the group stay connected to it. You can create one page at a time or every page in the project at once.

The group needs all three of these, or the page is not created:

  • an SEO Title
  • a URL (the editable part after your site address)
  • an H1

To have AI write these for you, see AI-optimize titles, descriptions and H1s.

  1. Open the project in Xagio > Project Planner.
  2. On the group, open CONNECT GROUP and select Create Page or Create Post. The same options are in the AI tools menu as Create New Page From Group and Create New Post From Group once AI suggestions exist.
  3. Wait while “Creating Page” shows.
  4. In Create Page/Post from Group, you can set:
    • Parent (pages only)
    • Status
  5. Select the link to open the new item in the editor, or Close.

When a project is planned out, you can create the pages for every group at once instead of one at a time. Groups missing an SEO title, URL or H1 are skipped with an error, and the others are still created.

  1. Open the project in Xagio > Project Planner.
  2. Select Groups > Create Page/Post From Group.
  3. In Create All Pages/Posts, choose Page or Post for each group in the list.
  4. Select Create All.
  5. Each row shows a result as it finishes: a check mark and a link to the new item, or a warning icon.

Groups that are already linked to a page are not created again.

  • A draft page or post.
  • Its title is the group’s H1, and its slug is the group’s URL.
  • Its Xagio SEO title and description come from the group.
  • The group’s notes are copied to the page’s Personal Notes.
  • The body is empty. Add content yourself or with AI content.

Use CONNECT GROUP > Attach To Page/Post or Attach To Taxonomy, then pick the item. To unlink, open the group’s Actions menu and select Detach Page/Post.

  • “Your SEO title is missing!”, “Your group URL is missing!” or “Your group header is missing!”: fill in the missing field, save the group and try again.
  • “Page is already created, you can access it below!”: the group is already linked to a page. Use the link in the modal to open it.
  • “Could not create page at the moment!”: WordPress refused to create the post. Try again, and check that your user can create pages.
