Agent X: build a site from a keyword

Agent X builds a site from one keyword. It audits the top competitors, clusters their keywords into groups, then writes the SEO title, description and H1, creates the pages, generates the content and adds JSON-LD schema for each group you select. You can also run it on a project you already built in Project Planner.

Before you start

Your site must be connected to your Xagio account.
Every keyword in the groups you build needs volume and CPC. Agent X stops if any are missing. See Get volume and CPC.
You need enough Xags for the whole build. Agent X shows the total before it runs.
Fill in your business details in Business profiles, or edit them inside Agent X.

Step 1: Choose the site type and options

Go to Xagio > Agent X.
Select GET STARTED under Global (sites that promote a product or service) or Local (sites that target geographic locations).
Set the options, then select Continue:
- Remove existing Pages: starts fresh with only Agent X pages. See the warning below.
- Use Templates: builds the pages on a Xagio template. If Elementor is not installed, Agent X installs it.
- Show Gutenberg: lists only templates that have a Gutenberg version.

Step 2: Pick a template (if you chose Use Templates)

Preview a template, then choose Use Elementor or Use Gutenberg and Select. The header shows your Monthly Claims and Bonus Claims, or Unlimited on plans with unlimited templates. Monthly claims expire and refresh each month. Bonus claims never expire.

Step 3: Check your business profile

Review Modify Profile Data (contact details and profile links) and select Continue. These are the same fields as SEO Settings > Profiles. Changes here update that tab too.

Step 4: Enter your keyword and pick competitors

Local only: enter the city your business is in.
Enter a keyword that best describes your business, and choose the Search Engine and Search Location.
Check the seed keyword, then select Search.
Select the websites that most resemble what you want to create. Keep Filter results to only contain keyword below on unless you want broad results. “Unchecking the toggle above may result in Agent producing a lot of keywords and groups unrelated to your specific keyword.”
Check the cost and select Continue. Agent X audits the sites and clusters their keywords into a project.

Step 5: Edit the groups

You get the same group tools as Project Planner: add, delete, move and seed keywords, AI Clustering, and the word cloud.

Tick each group you want built as a page. Unticked groups are deleted from the project when the build starts.
Select the house icon (Set as Homepage) on the group for your home page. This is optional but recommended with templates.
Set Competition Options (language and location) and the Rank Tracker search engine and location.
Check Total XAGS cost, then select Run Agent X.
Confirm “You are about to run Agent X and build N pages… This will consume N xBanks/xRenew.”

AI clustering in Agent X

After Agent X audits your competitors, it clusters their keywords into groups. If the groups are too broad or split the same topic across pages, run AI Clustering to regroup them by meaning before you build.

To regroup only some groups, tick them. With none ticked, Agent X asks you to select some.
Select AI Clustering in the toolbar.
In Requesting AI Input, check Average XAGS cost for this is and Your remaining XAGS are, then select Continue.
“Clustering groups…” shows while it runs. When it finishes you see “AI clustering finished – reloading…” and the new groups load.

The prompt merges plural and synonym forms of service, role and location terms, but keeps distinct terms (such as “attorney” and “lawyer”) apart.

After clustering, review the groups, set your homepage group and continue with Run Agent X.

Step 6: Let it build

Agent X works through these stages:

Staying on the page is fastest. You can leave, and the build continues in the background more slowly. When it finishes, the site admin email gets “Xagio Agent X Completed Successfully”.

At the end you see “Your Website is Ready for 🚀 Takeoff!” Select View your Website, or Reset Agent X & Start Over. To cancel a running build, select Stop & Reset Agent X.

All keywords in the project are also added to Rank Tracker with the engine and location you chose.

Run Agent X on an existing project

You can run Agent X on a project you already built in Project Planner, for example to add a new section to a site Agent X built earlier.

Go to Xagio > Project Planner.
In the projects table, select the AI icon (Run Agent X for this project) in the project’s Actions column.
Confirm “This will redirect you to Agent X and preselect this project for Agent X to process. Continue?”
Agent X opens with the project pre-selected. Leave Remove existing Pages off to keep your current pages.
Continue through the steps, tick the groups you want built, and select Run Agent X.

To cancel the pre-selection, open Agent X again from the WordPress sidebar.

Groups you leave unticked are deleted from the project when the build starts. Export the project first if you want to keep them.

What it costs

There is no separate Agent X fee. The total is:

Competition: 0.02 Xags per keyword in the selected groups, plus
for each selected group, the AI prompt prices for SEO title/description/H1, page content and schema (0.02 Xags per 1,000 tokens, multiplied by each prompt’s price factor).

The competitor audits cost 1 Xag per website. Rank Tracker adds 0.03 Xags per keyword. AI clustering costs 0.02 Xags per 1,000 tokens, multiplied by the prompt’s price factor; the average price shows before you run it. The build total is confirmed before it runs. Troubleshooting

“Your account is not connected to the Xagio panel. Please connect your account before running Agent X.”: connect the site from Xagio > Dashboard.
“Please set select some groups first!”: tick at least one group.
“Please select some groups before”: tick the groups to cluster.
“Please set Language and Location before continuing…”: fill in Competition Options.
“Some keywords are missing Volume or CPC metrics…”: run Get Volume & CPC on the selected groups.
“You do not have enough XAGS to perform this operation!”: build fewer groups or add Xags.
“You do not have enough AI Credits, please top up and try again!”: add Xags.
“AI clustering is still running; please try again later.”: the job took over five minutes. Reload the page later.
“An error has occurred: … Please reset the Wizard and try again.”: select Stop & Reset Agent X and start again.
Upgrade your account to use AI features.: your plan does not include AI features.
